About
Datumly — named after the datum.
On every drawing and every site there is a datum: the reference level that every height, every survey and every setting-out is measured from. Get it right and everything built on it lines up. It is what a good engineering firm does all day: measure from a fixed reference, record, check, and stand behind the numbers.
It began in Nepal, where napi (नापी) means measurement — the survey, the chain, the plot drawn to scale. Datumly is the same idea for any country: one reference that a whole project is measured against.
Datumly is for the consultancies and contractors that design, supervise and build. Most of them still run on phone calls, chat-app photos, folders of drawings and a spreadsheet of bills. The work is careful; the records are not. Datumly gives the records the same care.
We started in Nepal — Bikram Sambat dates, lakh and crore, the naksha pass — because local rules are exactly where generic tools fall short. Each of those is a setting or a template, not code, so the same app can follow another country's rules as they are added.
Datumly is built by jKulDev. We build it step by step, and the features page shows exactly what works today and what is still coming.
Why Datumly
Careful work deserves careful records.
- 01
The drawing on site
A slab is built from Rev B while Rev C sits in someone's email. Nobody was careless — there was simply no single place that said which revision is current.
- 02
The stage nobody dated
“Did the plinth inspection happen before the columns went up?” When the answer lives in one person's memory, the firm is one resignation away from not knowing.
- 03
The bill nobody chased
The work is done, the bill waits, the client forgets — and the firm quietly finances someone else's house for three months.
Datumly is the place those answers live — dated, approved and on record — so a small firm can run like a well-organised large one.
About
What we hold to
- 01
Engineers own engineering
Datumly records, reminds and drafts. It does not design structures or decide quantities.
- 02
AI writes drafts, people decide
Nothing AI writes is sent to a client or filed without a person approving it.
- 03
Settings, not hard-coded rules
Tax rates, municipal permit stages and checklists are data your firm can see — not numbers buried in code.
- 04
Your data is yours
Export it whenever you like.
- 05
Honest status
If something isn't built yet, we say “coming soon”.
See your own projects in Datumly.
Start with one project, invite the people who work on it, and give each of them their roles. Everything else can follow.
